What we're looking for
We are currently seeking a Director of Strategic Partnerships to join our founding team. The ideal candidate has expertise in identifying and maintaining professional relationships with partners and key stakeholders. As Director of Strategic Partnerships, you will develop and deliver a partnership strategy that enables growth across market segments, and supports Melanence's business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Create a systematic, process-driven approach to partner outreach and relationship management.
- Own the relationship with key strategic partners, oversee day-to-day interactions, and look for ways to further deepen those relationships
- Research potential partners and identify key players
- Research and maintain all external business relationships
- Evaluate partnership opportunities, performing quantitative and qualitative due diligence to prioritize them
- Keep leadership apprised of partner updates including, progression and development of new and existing partner plans and relationships, as well as industry trends – who’s who, who’s new, and who’s doing what
- Create and lead high-impact programs to ignite growth, and deepen relationships across audiences with an ROI-driven approach.
- Partner closely with marketing, product, and engineering to drive innovative new value for customers and share success with our partners.

- Has experience building and leading partnership functions from an early stage of team growth, and have delivered exceptional results doing so in the past.
- Interpersonal skills to develop relationships with staff to foster collaboration and mutual accountability.
- Strong persuasion, prioritization, and relationship-building skills are essential; and comfort influencing partners and co-workers at all levels of an organization.
- Excellent written communication and follow-up skills, with the ability to speak clearly & concisely. End-to-end negotiation experience, including identifying, developing, and executing successful partnerships.
- Demonstrated success in understanding the complex sales process and expert in sales technologies.
- Team player. Enjoys a collaborative work environment and can demonstrate proven success.
- Detail-oriented and meticulous, able to uphold quality standards of style and grammar.
